what made you interested in this then?

This is probably one of the most common questions people have been asking me in the shop. And when people ask me how I became to love all things old and Vintage I explain that I can not ever remember not being interested in it so its difficult for me to say exactly. One person responsible for some of the blame! has to go to my mum, She has always has a sharp eye for the unusual and wonderful, and is a keen history buff so I know I inherited a lot of it from her. While looking through some photos lately I found one which brought a smile to my face. Now this is a very rare occurrence (I hate having my photo took, let alone posting them on the Internet!) but here is a photo of me, I believe I am about 8/9 and had probably been down to the jumble sale that day. (Yes I was the kid that brought all the strange items! I rarely came home with toys). I really miss jumble sales, It was something I really enjoyed when I was little, all these wonderful things that people didn't want, even the queuing to get in part where all the old ladies jostled for a space near the door & and the rush when the door finally opened, every bodies heads turning trying to work out where to start! Anyway here is the piccy,. PS. I don't wear glasses, I obviously purchased them just for my ensemble!
